I'll be more intrigued with the story rather than to directly tell people what's it's about within the lyrics. I take pieces of it out and put it into the lyrics. I mean it could be on the issue as simply as somebody that was being battered, rather than for me to directly say it.

I really like Annie de Franco and the way that she writes and her style but rather than to approach it on that level outright -a whole story, I use excerpts from it, then bring out a dancer, a beautiful dancer so that the people can eventually see the dance and the beauty of the dance will bring the people into the story, asking, why is this dancer here with this song?

To truly understand the storyline of it and the underlying themes that aren't written in the lyrics you have to understand the beauty of what it's talking about, so I try to incorporate different aspects of the senses: the visual, the hearing and the taste, the smell of the different elements within my projects.

Ladyfire-You sure are on the mark with the heart energy and passion Robert and that comes through strongly in your music and with your band and dancers-The Rare Tribal Mob. Do you have a particular message that you'd like to share with humanity?

Robert-I think life is really short- find someone that will dance with you!

Ladyfire-I'm all for that!

Ladyfire-You've spoken before about living with one foot on the pueblo and one foot off of the pueblo-that it's difficult going back and forth between those two contrasting worlds. How do you do it?
